THURSDAY 16 FEBRUARY 2017 Global cricket platform, CricHQ, have expanded their offering through a partnership with UK-based, sports-video highlights provider, My Action Replay. The partnership was established to meet increasing demand for video capture, recording and live-streaming of recreational cricket matches, allowing cricket organisations to share highlights reels, action replays and deliver a viewing experience closer to professional cricket than ever before.
Already cricket players, managers, and spectators using My Action Replay can livestream or package up highlights of their matches. But now, through the integration with CricHQ, live match data is automatically integrated into the broadcast, resulting in an enhanced viewing experience.
The same technology allows for recorded video highlights to be searched for and replayed, based on the scoring meta-data. Players, fans, and high performance officials, such as coaches and selectors, will be able to easily and cost-effectively search for and review video coverage on each player, based on a range of variables such as deliveries faced or scoring shots.
My Action Replay Founder Barnaby Kent believes that the partnership is a great opportunity.
“Combining video, scoring, and match data in real-time, means that the viewing experience for cricket fans will be incredible. It’s 2017, it shouldn’t just be the major games that get professional and engaging coverage, there is a whole world of cricket that can be broadcast with full match data now.”
